This position location may be located in Lexington or Winchester.


To support and promote the effort to modernize operations and ensure continued focus on the transformation of training, technology and processes within an ongoing learning environment, the OJT Coach role will focus on coaching, mentoring and developing NGD field employees and providing support and feedback to employees and leadership.

The OJT Coach will develop employees through hands-on training and knowledge transfer to ensure they are successful in their roles, are properly trained and are able to execute work efficiently, safely and in compliance with all federal, state, local and company requirements. 

An OJT Coach will drive operational excellence through continuous improvement by building partnerships with NGD Operations leadership/management teams and completing needs assessments to ensure assigned employees are properly applying knowledge and skills acquired thru successful training and development.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Responsibility to monitor employees¿ progression through the OJT phase of learning, answer questions, provide feedback and one-on-one training.
  • Work with the Integration Center and Field Leadership to assure job assignments.
  • Develop and assess training needs by building and maintaining strong collaborative partnerships with NGD Operations leadership/management.
  • Provide feedback and assist with developing alternative training methods if expected improvements are not seen.
  • Keep up with developments in your area of expertise; including developments in technology, regulatory requirements, and related training.
  • Promote the necessary environment for professional and effective training to be conducted.
  • Evaluate modes of training delivery, such as hands-on, virtual or reviewing previous training materials.
  • Responsible for work planning and resource allocation of assigned employees.
  • Prepare correspondence and reports to measure and track performance.
  • Prepare and present information to internal and external groups.
  • Initiate continuous improvement and lead cross functional teams in implementing improvements.

Key Work Experiences

Required for Selection

  • Minimum five years experience in field operations, training or related experiences.
  • Demonstrated technical expertise in assigned areas.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication/presentation/interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with others and build ongoing working relationships.
  • Basic computer skill proficiency.
  • Valid drivers license.
  • Flexible Schedule

Travel Percentage

10% outside of Kentucky and flexible travel within the state.
