NiSource is one of the nation's largest fully regulated utility companies, serving approximately 3.5 million natural gas customers and 500,000 electric customers across seven states through its local Columbia Gas and NIPSCO brands. The Columbus office is located in the downtown Arena District.

The Columbus office is seeking two legal interns, currently in their second year of law school.

One intern would be for a full year, commencing January 2019 and ending December 2019 and the other would be for the summer commencing in May 2019 and ending in August 2019.

Interns will be responsible for conducting legal research and providing support for the various legal practice groups that comprise the office, including: state utility regulation, litigation, real estate, labor and employment, and commercial.

Strong research, writing, and communication skills are necessary, as well as an enthusiasm to learn.

Interns must be able to work independently and actively seek projects from the different practicing attorneys.

Interns are expected to work 15-20 hours per week during the school year, and 40 hours per week during the summer.


Incumbent must be a full--time student currently enrolled in an ABA accredited law school.
