Job Description


Prioritizes and aligns the training offerings of all technical and HSE training activities to ensure compliance and optimization of training needs and resources for NIPSCO Operations.

  • Training needs and training resources are effectively prioritized, optimized and scheduled for existing employees and new hires.
  • Increased recognition and sharing of best practice opportunities, targeting consistent on-boarding and training practices across NIPSCO.
  • Focused on continuously improved coordination of scheduling of training and overall customer satisfaction/metrics.
  • Strong, collaborative relationships with cross functional peer groups.
  • Strong operational partnerships.
  • Results that meet or exceed operational goals and budgets.
  • Responsible for coordinating the planning and prioritization of all NIPSCO technical and HSE training activities.
  • HSE & Training department liaison to Planning, Scheduling and Operations to provide requirements necessary to meet customer expectations and the business plan.
  • Keep abreast of business and training needs that may affect Distribution Operations.
  • Promote the necessary environment for effective internal customer satisfaction and collaboration.
  • Ensure ongoing collaborative relationships with key internal operations partners, i.e. IC, Planning, HSE and Customer Operations training.
  • Manage scheduling of Operator Qualifications by business units
  • Manage scheduling of proctors to administer On-line testing for Operator qualifications
  • Partner with Operations to schedule training related to job changes and new hires impacted by OQ assignments
  • Work with business units and key stakeholders to align training needs based on learning needs across NGD.
  • Ability to travel (10%- 20%) 
  • Strong Data Analysis and Reporting Skills.
  • Experience with all aspects of LMS functionality and the ability to transfer knowledge with others.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.  Strong Excel applications experience a plus.
  • Experience inmanaging and facilitating multiple projects simultaneously and driving execution.
  • Experience in collaborating with multiple stakeholder groups to achieve results.
  • Valid driver¿s license.
