Job Description


Support, coordinate and monitor the restoration efforts across CPA/CMD.


  • Interact with all state and local municipalities.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external customers, Engineering, Operations, Municipalities, etc.
  • Coordinate restoration and facility locates to identify conflicts and unwanted cost.
  • Monitor timely execution of F.A.R. orders.
  • Maintain avalalibility of sand, stone, and Komac in statigic locations through out the foot print of the operating area.
  • Partner with Supply Chain in creating service contracts (adjusting line item costs).
  • Insure that blanket restoration contractors are keeping up with the work provided and making decisions as to when to bid out certain projects that would be a better economic value.
  • Interact with the IC to maintain a flow of work to the correct restoration contractor. 
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with local and state authorities; attend and participate in construction, council and town meetings.
  • Monitor timely execution of restoration work.
  • Ability to identify safety concerns and address and remediate them immediately.
  • Knowledge and understanding of proper back filling materials.


  • Working knowledge of local and state ordinances.
  • Have an understanding of local and state ordinances pertaining to: permits, process, cost, etc. as well as restoration guidelines.
  • Must have the ability to work with internal and external customers.
  • Must have the ability to develop processes including working with WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT for QA/QC  for restoration, escalated customer complaints, Maintaining temporary repairs, Develop process for securing  clean hard fill dump.
  • Requires ability to handle multiple projects and work effectively under deadlines and changing priorities and conditions.
  • Must have experience working in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Requires strong oral communication and interpersonal skills, as demonstrated by successful interactions with others where tact and diplomacy are needed.
  • Must be able to work with the public in face-to-face situations and over the telephone. Will be required to maintain a neat appearance.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work with little or no direct supervision.
  • Must have strong decision making and problem solving skills, even in the absence of complete information.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and able to operate company vehicles.
  • Demonstrated skill in organizing, scheduling and planning work to maximize coordination of office and field resources.

Key Work Experiences/Education

  • High School degree or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of basic PC applications/skills.
  • Ability to interpret and integrate various pieces of information/data.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals and groups, speak in public and present materials\training to excavators in support of the restoration program.

Preferred for Selection

  • Six (6) months experience in field operations, underground construction, or restoration.
  • Knowledge of DIS, WMS, FAAR computer applications.
  • Mapping, cartography, or surveying experience.
  • Knowledge of CPA/CMD policies and state mandates related to restoration.

Other Information

Regular hours are subject to change based upon seasonal workload, the team's or state one-call center's needs. Must have the ability to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime in order to meet our mandated obligations.

Will be required to visit job sites and must be physically able to negotiate a variety of terrains in all kinds of weather conditions.

This position may require travel and overnight stay as necessary to support the state of Pennsylvania's local as well as state restoration efforts.
