Job Description


This position is for the New Business Team and reports to Leader New Business Solutions, Marketing. The graphic designer will be responsible for the execution and delivery of revenue generating targeted marketing/sales customer communication efforts for the NiSource Gas Distribution Companies. The individual will provide input and execution of the marketing plan through multichannel advertising campaigns and other forms of communication. The individual is also responsible for collaborating with departmental directors and managers to insure that targeted marketing/sales campaigns are synchronized within the New Business strategy, as well as across business units to deliver an excellent customer experience.

  • Works with Sales and Marketing Teams to develop sales/marketing action plans that aligns with the company¿s new business strategy.
  • Works collaboratively to develop campaigns and strategies to ensure organization is synchronized.
  • Liaison with Communications leads on direct customer communications which achieve increased revenue goals and results that are favorable to customers, stakeholders and shareholders.
  • Pursues and analyzes industry best practices and market intelligence related to sales/marketing conversions and single family/multifamily additions.
  • Works collaboratively with communication department on targeted promotions to promote consistency of company messages to customers and maximize opportunities.
  • Identifies the strengths and weaknesses of implemented programs and works collaboratively with internal and external business partners to overcome identified challenges, modify programs, and/or exit programs.
  • Cultivates business relationships.
  • Participates in cultivating a teamwork environment.
  • Manages multiple projects.
  • Accountable for program / campaign results.
  • Determines how to best represent a concept visually.
  • Develops overarching campaign elements and executes across all deliverables.
  • Determines which photographs, art, or other design assets to use.
  • Reviews and approves design work developed by other creative resources.
  • 4-6 years experience in a marketing communications or agency environment.
  • Bachelor¿s degree or equivalent in Graphic/Web Design, Visual Communications, or Advertising
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud design applications including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • Thorough working knowledge of print production.
  • Requires strong organizational, interpersonal, problem solving and presentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, quality, and process
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Self motivated; deadline oriented; follows through
  • Possesses excellent design skills, reinforces brand through design solutions
  • Portfolio that demonstrates effective business communications collateral and a wide variety of quality design solutions.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present rationale for design decisions.
  • Experienced in multimedia design including digital and print, email, PowerPoint presentations, infographics, data visualization.
