Job Description


Purpose:  This role develops and drives execution of NiSource talent acquisition initiatives, programs and processes to attract candidates, improve recruitment and generate efficiencies.  Additionally, this role will serve as a central point-of-contact for University recruiting and internship programs across NiSource. 

Essential Responsibilities for Sr. Talent Acquisition Consultant:

  • Develop a campus recruiting plan by engaging HR and business partners
  • Serve as key logistical contact for planning and execution of events on school campuses to support recruiting processes (i.e. securing space creating marketing, sending materials, etc..)
  • Track and monitor KPI¿s and trends relating to recruiting effectiveness surveys
  • Spearheads initiatives to drive attraction of highly talented applicants to NiSource
  • Provides recruiting tools, programs and processes that directly support enterprise-wide objectives
  • Develop execution strategies for upcoming strategic sourcing events
  • Negotiate vendor contracts
  • Continuously review new and existing sourcing channels and social media strategies.  Monitor effectiveness and propose enhancements 
  • Collaborates with I&D on diverse talent recruiting and sourcing strategies 
  • Develops relationships with external recruiting sources for various levels of positions 
  • Analyze candidate touch points in the recruiting process.
  • Implement and oversee improvements to increase candidate conversion rates, quality of the applicant pool, and decrease time to fill positions.
  • Coordinates audit requests
  • Oversees all talent acquisition analytics and reporting from ATS and career site.  Develops reports and metrics for dissemination
  • Identify key service level metrics and monitor vendor status against those metrics
  • Monitor and serve as point-of-contact for the Career Site.  Spearhead efforts to change and recommend branding enhancements to applicable parties
  • Works with internal and external communications partners on recruitment materials
  • Manages special projects/initiatives as needed

Qualifications and Work Experience:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Strong Applicant Tracking System experience
  • Experience utilizing job boards, sourcing mechanisms and social recruiting platforms
  • 6+ years¿ experience as a Campus/Corporate Recruiter or College/University Recruiter
  • 6+ years¿ experience in staffing including diversity sourcing, use of job boards and other online sources
  • Strong computer skills (i.e. MS Office, email, etc¿) 
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Must be results oriented
  • Analytical skills and experience working with metrics
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel (40% - 50%)
